MANUPRIME

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

If the answer is “it depends”, we have said what it depends on. If something here is not true for your plant, ask us on the call rather than finding out later.

Getting started

Is there a free trial?

Not yet. MANUPRIME is in development, so there is nothing you can start from a signup page today. What there is: a demo on your own process, at no cost and with nothing signed, and a written quote on the plan that fits. When the product is released, a trial is the plan — and it will be the real plan, not a cut-down edition.

How long until it is actually running?

One line live in three to four weeks for a single plant; the full scope in eight to twelve. That assumes somebody on your side owns the item and BOM masters. ERP projects do not fail on software — they fail because nobody was accountable for the masters.

Do we have to stop production to go live?

No. We start on one line, in parallel with your current method, and cut over when both sides agree for a full week. Nobody bets the plant on a weekend.

Who does the data migration?

We do the loading; you verify. Items, BOMs, parties, opening stock and balances come from whatever you have — an accounting package, spreadsheets, or a previous system. Guided on Growth, assisted on Enterprise, done for you on Dedicated.

Will the shop floor actually use it?

That is the real risk, and it is why floor screens are deliberately small: a job card, a quantity, a reason code. If an operator needs training beyond a single shift to record production, we have designed it wrong.

Your existing systems

What happens to our existing accounting system?

Most customers keep the accounting package they already run — Tally, QuickBooks, Xero or another — for statutory books in year one, and let MANUPRIME run the plant. Masters and balances import either way. Whether accounting eventually moves across is your decision, not a condition of starting.

Can it work alongside our existing systems?

Yes. Enterprise and Dedicated carry a REST API and webhooks, and the integration catalogue covers accounting, marketplaces, payments, logistics, messaging and shop-floor devices.

Do you support weighbridges, barcode scanners and biometric devices?

Yes — weighbridge capture, barcode and QR scanning, and biometric attendance are supported integrations rather than custom work.

Running it

Does it work when the internet drops on the shop floor?

Partly, and the distinction matters. MANUPRIME installs as an app, so screens open without a network instead of showing a browser error. Recording work while the link is down is a separate capability — a queued write that syncs on reconnect is on the roadmap, not shipped, and we would rather say that than let you find out on the floor. A site with genuinely unreliable connectivity is one of the reasons a dedicated on-premise instance exists: it runs on the plant network, so the plant is never waiting on the internet.

Can different people see different things?

Yes, and it is on by default. Fourteen roles, permissions down to the field, and dashboards that differ by role — a shift in-charge does not see margins, and a sales manager does not see payroll.

Does it handle more than one plant or company?

Yes. Plants, stores and cost centres on every plan; multiple legal entities with their own tax registration and books from Enterprise upward.

What about job work and subcontracting?

Material sent out on a job-work note is tracked, reconciled on return against expected recovery, and costed. Loss at the job worker becomes a number you can discuss rather than a suspicion.

Data, security and exit

Who owns our data?

You do. Every report exports to CSV or XLSX, and a full database export is yours on request at any time, including after you leave. There is no exit fee and no hostage period.

Where is the data hosted?

Our primary region is India, and we can host in another region on request. On a Dedicated plan it is your own cloud account or your own server, which is the usual answer for a plant whose customer contract names a country.

Is there an audit trail?

Every transaction records who did what and when, retained for one year on Starter, three on Growth, seven on Enterprise, and to your own policy on Dedicated.

Commercials

What does renewal cost?

The rate you signed, unless you add users, plants or add-ons. We do not discount the first year and reprice once you depend on it.

Why is WhatsApp charged separately?

You do not pay us for the message. Meta bills your own account per message, at their published India rates; we bill for the platform around it. The same applies to your e-invoicing provider, to SMS and to bank APIs.

Can we try it before committing?

Yes, and in that order. Ask for a demo and we walk you through the product on your own trade — one of 37 industry templates, with your BOM and your job card on the screen rather than ours. If that goes well, a pilot on your own masters comes next, and a proof of concept on a full data set after that. MANUPRIME is in development, so all three are arranged with us rather than started from a signup page.

Still have a question?

Ask it on a demo call. Forty minutes, your process, no slides.
